this is what you get when you google image “valentine’s day.” that’s what you have to do when your sort-of valentine is traveling around the world for a year and you have a date with yourself on friday night. still. we both like cool kicks. in fact, that’s the first reason i talked to him. good sneakers. though i don’t think world traveler cares too much about the v-day (i, however, do like that it affords you the opportunity to buy yourself a green & beans organic 70% dark chocolate bar at 11pm on Friday, the 13th and sit eating it on your living room floor while you cut out construction paper hearts - orange, not red - and watch “love actually” on oxygen.)

suziesuz(e) has the initials. believe i may now have myself the world traveler. (more creative names welcome of course.)

wonder if like me tumbling about him…but he can’t be too mad at me. it is valentine’s day after all.

Our wanderlust in NYC. Suze and Sil are 26/25 year olds respectively managing life in Manhattan - we want to travel the world, but are finding our very own adventures in New York as we go. The idea for the blog came to us as we sat in Grand Central station eating watermelon from the market, after getting free facials at Origins upstairs. Our good friend was embarking on a year long round the world trip - South America, Greece, India and beyond, and we were just excited about our trip across the river (by tram!) to Roosevelt Island for our touch football game that afternoon. We realized adventures can be around the world in 80 days, or up to Harlem on the subway to see the Little Red Lighthouse under the Great Gray Bridge. We don't have to leave this island to find fun, but we will sometimes - we might spend $2 we might spend $200 (Lilly Pulitzer & The Container Store are Suze's weakness, fabulous bags and cool sneakers are Sil's). We are two lucky girls with a penchant for adventure and a knack for finding ourselves in curious situations - we figured we may as well start writing them down so when we are old and gray sitting on the porch of Suze's lighthouse we can remember all our fabulous times.
